General Information


Conditions of Entry
The competition is open for string trios of any nationality.
Registration deadline: 31.5.2012
Age limit: The age of all trio members together must not exceed 100 years. (exceptions can be made if well-founded explanations are provided)

Only via e-mail to: streichtrio@musikhochschule-muenchen.de

Required information:
  • Name of the trio
  • Name, date of birth, nationality and instrument of each member
  • Adress/phone number
  • Competition programme
Required documents:
  • CV of the trio and of each member
  • Picture of the ensemble in high resolution (at least 300 dpi)
  • Transfer voucher confirming the payment of the registration fee
  • Signed transfer form of the photo and recording rights

Competition Program
The competition will take place from Friday 20 July to Sunday 22 July in the small concert hall of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. (Arcisstraße 12, 80333 Munich, Germany)
Friday 20 July 2012: 1st round (45 minutes per trio)
Saturday 21 July 2012: 2nd round (45 minutes per trio)
Sunday 22 July 2012: in the morning: Final round (30 minutes per trio);
in the evening: Concert of the prize winners The order in which the groups appear will be decided by the jury by casting lots. All rounds and the concert of the prize winners will be open to the public. The concert of the prize winners will be recorded by the Bayerischer Runfunk.
